Feedback about DCC funding cut

Questions for Voluntary and Community Groups

Derbyshire County Council (DCC) is proposing to end the discretionary grant funding to voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) in Derbyshire from 1st April 2025. This proposal will apply to all the VCOs including Links CVS which provides support, information, and advice to frontline groups. This proposal by DCC will affect your group’s access to advice on funding, setting up and running a group, policy development and compliance with the law, etc. As the local Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), Links is asking for your support to put together a co-ordinated response to reflect the views of VCOs in Chesterfield and NE Derbyshire.

Please fill out the survey here.

Please complete the survey by 27th June 2024

(If you require a printed version of the questionnaire, please contact us at info@linkscvs.org.uk)

Thank you for your support.

Postponed - Chesterfield Borough Council - Climate Change Forum

Following the announcement of the general election and the beginning of the pre-election ‘purdah’ period, we have unfortunately been advised to postpone the next Climate Change Forum meeting which had been planned for 6th June.  We are now moving the forum meeting to Tuesday 16th July, 6pm-8pm at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Rose Hill, Chesterfield, S40 1LP.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join the action planning meeting on 15th May – we shared lots of ideas and will continue to progress and hope to have lots to update you with when we meet in July.

We hope you are able to join us. If you have any queries in the meantime, please get in touch.

Reburbished Devices for your project in Derbyshire

Digital Support Derbyshire Network’s initial pilot with PCrefurb to provide donated refurbished devices to members has now been extended until March 2025!

As members of the Digital Support Derbyshire Network, if you deliver digital support and your project needs refurbished devices, you can apply to PCrefurb to assess your device needs. As part of this offer there will be a limited amount of laptops, tablets, all-in-one desktops and small desktops, all of which are subject to availability. Applications will be assessed, processed, and prepared on a case-by-case basis. The scheme can assist groups to obtain devices to help them offer digital support but could also include a project making a referral for an individual.
