You are invited to join a free engagement and feedback event to feedback your experiences of women's health in your area, about what works well and what needs to be better.

Community Action Derby, and Links CVS, have been working on a project on behalf of Joined Up Care Derbyshire (JUCD), to understand women's health in our area.

They have been talking to people in local communities and collecting information through surveys and workshops to understand how women’s health is doing and what needs to be better.

What do we mean when we say women's health?

Women face unique health challenges, and these are experienced differently by different groups of people. In this project, some of the key services and conditions we looked at were:

  • Menstrual problems (periods)
  • Menopause (when periods stop)
  • Contraception (methods to stop becoming pregnant)
  • Preconception care (before coming pregnant)
  • Breast pain
  • Cervical screening
  • Sexually transmitted infections

All of the information has been collated into a report. We'd like to share what we found and what will happen next.

Date: 21st May 2025 (Wednesday)

Time: 9:30 am to 1:00 pm

Location: The Arkwright Centre, Hardwick Dr, Chesterfield S44 5BS

What to expect at the event:

  • Overview of the report and what happens next
  • Hear insights from some of the community groups
  • Updates about other initiatives happening as part of the improving women's health project
  • Some information stalls from local groups and services
  • Light refreshments

Please note that due to space at the venue, this event is ticket only, register here:

Online Support Groups for Arthritis

Poster

Our Arthritis Action Groups are a welcoming space where you can connect with others living with arthritis or caring for those living with arthritis.

Held online via Zoom and guided by one of our team members, each session gives you the chance to share your experiences, listen to others, and explore helpful advice on living with arthritis.

Every month focuses on a different topic, and with a range of time slots available, it’s easy to find one that works for you.

Or if you need a distraction, our Coffee Mornings and Afternoon Teas offer an opportunity to chat with others without a topic!
