Volunteering Opportunities Available

Are you interested in looking after your local area?

Can you spare a few hours a month?

Do you like spending time in the great outdoors?

Are you looking for a new family activity?

Then why not come and talk to us about volunteering to look after Willow Walk on Monday 23rd June at 10.30 am or 7.00 pm.

This fantastic green space right next to the river Doe Lea has been looked after by volunteers for nearly two decades and the Doe Lea Centre will be hosting two meetings for potential volunteers that will carry on this local legacy and keep Willow Walk as the great community space that it is.

We’re also looking for volunteers to support and help out at the yearly BBQ and develop other events and activities on Willow Walk.

In return we’ll offer you as much tea or coffee as you can stomach, as many biscuits as we can afford, training opportunities and some of the best company anywhere in Derbyshire!!

There are two meetings on Monday 23rd June so if you can’t make the daytime meeting (10.30 am) then do come and join us in the evening (7.00 pm). There will be refreshments available as well as a display of historic pictures of Willow Walk.

See you there!
